Hi and welcome to Darvanalee Designs Studio 2019 Block of the Month Block Two video, As the title suggests we are going to be working on block Two. In this video, I will go over some of the tools that you will need...But don't worry I am not going to tell you to go out and buy more tools and products...instead, we are going to use the tools that we already have in our sewing rooms...We also talk about where you will find the blocks each month......and then every second Wednesday of the month for the next block in the series...There are 12 Blocks in total...So Let's Get Started.

Hi and Welcome to Darvanalee Designs Studio 2019 Block of the Month Introduction video, As the title suggests we are going to be doing a block a month for from January 9th till December 2019, with the final video being the assembly of the quilt...In this video, I will go over some of the tools that you will need...But don't worry I am not going to tell you to go out and buy more tools and products...instead we are going to use the tools that we already have in our sewing rooms...we cover how much Fabric you need I have included below the measurements in yards as well as meterage...We also talk about where you will find the blocks each month...So sit back relax and take some notes on what you need, and I will see you all next week January 9th for our 1st block...and then every second Wednesday of the month for the next block in the series...There are 12 Blocks in total...

How to Make DDs Windowpane Quilt Block

Block #10

What you Need:

1 fat Quarter White Fabric - Background (either plain or tone on tone)

1 Fat Denim Blue ( Either plain or print)
1 Fat Teal Blue ( Either plain or print)

Sewing Machine with ¼” foot

Rotary Cutter

Cutting Mat

Quilting Ruler

Matching Threads

Thread Snips

Best Press

Alphabitties (Affiliate Link)

Iron and Ironing Pad

Cutting Instructions:

Please use cutting instructions below ...there is no print out this month. As this block is an easy one

Cutting Instructions

From the White Background Fabric

Cut 4 ✂

1¾" x 8” Strips.

Cut 2 ✂ 4⅝ " squares. then Crosscut so you have
2 triangles from each square.

Cut 2 ✂ 3⅛ " Squares

Denim Blue 

Cut 4 ✂ 1¾ x 8” Strips.

Teal Blue Blue 

Cut 4 ✂ 3" Squares
Cut 2 ✂ 3⅛ " Squares

 Refer to Printable Cutting instructions for further cutting of squares

*****Note****

We are using SCANT Quarter inch seam allowance throughout the pattern.
